Balboa Capital BDM John Hirsh Passes Suddenly
John (Jack) Hirsh, one of Balboa Capital’s longest tenured sales and business development managers in its commercial vehicle dealer division, passed away unexpectedly in Cincinnati.

Prior to his time at Balboa Capital, Hirsh spent close to 50 years in the equipment finance business working for companies like The Associates, CitiCapital and Key Equipment Finance.
BMO Harris Promotes Rhodes to Head of Equipment Finance Syndications
BMO Harris Equipment Finance promoted Lance Rhodes to head of Equipment Finance Syndications. Rhodes will be based in Denver and report to Tom Sbordone, managing director and national sales manager.

Rhodes will be responsible for leading the Equipment Finance Syndications team, a national team focused on the origination of indirect equipment lending and leasing transactions. Reporting to Rhodes will be Tom Tazioli, senior vice president of Equipment Finance Syndications, Jeff Enoch, senior vice president of Equipment Finance Syndications, and Dan Grafenauer, vice president of Equipment Finance Syndications.
Rhodes has nearly 20 years of corporate finance experience and has spent the past four years working as director of Syndications for BMO Harris Equipment Finance. Prior to joining BMO, he spent 12 years with GE Capital, where he most recently held the position of senior vice president, Capital Markets.
TIAA Promotes Montgomery to Oversee Healthcare EF Platform
Kimberly Montgomery was named vice president, Healthcare Originations leader for TIAA Commercial Finance at TIAA Bank. Montgomery will be responsible for overseeing the healthcare equipment finance platform and client relationships and will report to Justin Tabone, senior vice president and originations group leader for TIAA Commercial Finance, who formerly managed the healthcare division.
Key Equipment Finance Promotes Martin to VP, Leasing & Vendor
Key Equipment Finance promoted Jen Martin to vice president of leasing and vendor program support. Martin will oversee the newly combined leasing programs and vendor performance teams, which includes the company’s NextGen project. Martin’s team will also be responsible for business systems improvements, vendor onboarding and performance and leasing effectiveness, among other programs focused on customer interaction.
Miller, McGuigan Join Dext Capital Credit Team
Dext Capital added Chris Miller as senior credit officer and Kyle McGuigan as junior credit officer. Miller has an extensive background in credit with Bank of the West, U.S. Bank and, most recently, at Umpqua Bank, where he was responsible for underwriting equipment finance requests up to $15 million.
Curtis Joins Wintrust as AVP of Direct Originations
Wintrust Commercial Finance appointed Mike Curtis assistant vice president of direct originations. Curtis has more than 20 years of equipment finance and leasing experience, with an emphasis on originating large-ticket finance transactions. He will be based in Irvine, CA and report to Robert Harris, vice president of the West region of WCF.
Clark Joins MUL Railcars as Regional Vice President
Thomas J. Clark joined MUL Railcars, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company, as regional vice president. Clark brings more than 30 years of experience in the broader rail industry to MULR. CIT Names Gifas Head of Treasury Services
James J. Gifas joined CIT Group as the head of Treasury Services and will serve on CIT’s Executive Management Committee. He will manage the treasury and cash management product portfolio across the commercial and consumer businesses.
Stern, Naumann Join Dext Capital as VPs
Healthcare leasing experts Brad Stern and Justin Naumann joined the Dext Capital team, both as Sales vice presidents. Stern comes to Dext from Wells Fargo and Marcap, where he was a top sales producer in the healthcare space for more than two decades. Naumann was a sales representative at First Financial for 15 years, where he supported the underserved financing needs of hospitals and medical practices in the New York and New Jersey areas.
Flowers to Lead Wells Fargo Strategic Execution & Operations Office
Wells Fargo formed a new Strategic Execution and Operations Office, which is focused on achieving operational excellence across businesses to enable the company to execute more effectively against its regulatory priorities and further drive transformation. Derek Flowers, a 21-year company veteran, will be head of the new office. Flowers is an executive officer, a member of the company’s Operating Committee and reports to interim CEO and President Allen Parker.

CSC Leasing Company, a provider of equipment and technology leasing options, hired Jordan Stowe as a regional director to support its growth in the Southeast Region. He will be based in its new Atlanta office. Volvo Financial Services appointed Jonas Rybring managing director for the Canadian market. Rybring brings 23 years of cross-functional skills and experience in sales, marketing, credit and operations to his new role. He joined VFS Russia in 2011 as managing director, was named service center director of VFS Central East in Warsaw, Poland in 2015 and since 2017, has served as managing director of VFS Central East North in Poland.
Radtke Named Chief Communications Officer of MUFG Americas
Eva Radtke joined MUFG as managing director and chief communications officer of MUFG Americas. Radtke will be based in New York and report to Mike Thom, chief corporate administrative officer. Roberts Succeeds Burke as President/CEO of HSBC USA
HSBC has appointed Michael Roberts to succeed Patrick Burke as president and CEO of HSBC USA. Burke will be retiring in October 2019. Roberts will join HSBC after 34 years at Citigroup, where he has been chief lending officer and global head of Corporate Banking and Capital Management since 2010.

TD Bank named Sheryl L. McQuade regional president for Northern New England, covering Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Minielly Replaces Fox on Sterling Board of Directors
Sterling Bancorp appointed Tom Minielly to its Board of Directors, where he will serve on the Audit and Risk Management Committee. Minielly replaces Jon Fox who has resigned from the board concurrent with his retirement. MUFG Appoints Yeo to Global Advisory Board
MUFG appointed George Yeo, a former Singaporean minister for Foreign Affairs, to its Global Advisory Board. Yeo served 23 years in the Singaporean Government as minister for Information and the Arts (from 1990 to 1999), Health (from 1994 to 1997), Trade & Industry (from 1999 to 2004), and Foreign Affairs (from 2004 to 2011). After his retirement from politics, he entered the business world and became chairman of Kerry Logistics Network.
Commerce Bank’s Hill Elected to AGLF Board of Directors
Frank Hill of Commerce Bank was elected to the board of directors of the Association of Governmental Leasing and Finance. Hill previously served as the organization’s vice president, president and chairman. Hill is a 20-year veteran of the industry, who is recognized by his peers as an expert by electing him to these leadership roles. He has served as the director of Municipal Finance for Commerce Bank for the last nine years.
Saligram to Step Down as Ritchie Bros. CEO
